Second Workshop on 'Jordan's 2016 Election Law', May 2 - 3 , 2016 in Madaba / Jordan

A second workshop to explain the new Election Law, its terms, the advantages of the proportional system, the division of the electoral constituencies, the distribution of seats, quotas, the method of voting and the sorting and calculation of the winners in the seats was conducted in Madaba.

A second workshop (see previous article) to explain the new Election Law, its terms, the advantages of the proportional system, the division of the electoral constituencies, the distribution of seats, quotas, the method of voting and the sorting and calculation of the winners in the seats was conducted in Madaba.

The main goal of the workshop, which was carried out in cooperation with the Arab World Center for Democratic Development - UniHRD', was to encourage young people to participate in the elections and to be active in shaping the future of Jordan through voting, volunteering and a commitment to democracy as a national way of life.

Students from various universities in Jordan and from various governorates, members of political parties, journalist, various NGO” s and Jordanian Initiatives as well as representatives from the Ministry of Political Development took part in the workshop.
