What's happening at HSS?

The Hanns Seidel Stiftung (HSS), in cooperation with the Tammouz Centre for Studies and Training on Citizenship, organized a two-day workshop entitled "Lebanese Children: Between Law and Reality" in Byblos, Lebanon, bringing together legal professionals, civil society representatives, educators, and child rights advocates, to discuss the protection and promotion of children's rights in Lebanon.

On 13–14 February 2026, the Hanns Seidel Foundation, in cooperation with the Tammouz Center for Studies and Training on Citizenship, organized a two-day workshop titled “Youth 2026: Participation, Decision-Making, and Change.” The activity brought together young participants from different regions of Lebanon to discuss youth participation in democratic and political processes ahead of the 2026 elections.

The Arab World Center for Democratic Development and Human Rights, in partnership with the Ministry of Political and Parliamentary Affairs and in cooperation with the Hanns Seidel Foundation, held the activity on 8 February 2026 in Ajloun Governorate as part of ongoing civic-education efforts aimed at youth and local communities.

In cooperation with the Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSS) and Future Pioneers for Empowering Communities (FPEC), a five-day workshop on Enhancing Digital Culture was held in the Northern Jordan Valley, aiming to strengthen digital awareness and practical skills among young people from the local community.

In collaboration with the Ministry of Political and Parliamentary Affairs (MoPPA) and the Arab World Center for Democratic Development (UNIHRD), the Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSS) organized a dialogue session titled “Enhancing Jordanian University Students’ Participation in Political Life” at the University of Jordan. This event marked the first workshop in a series of activities to be implemented across universities in Jordan, aiming to promote political awareness and strengthen civic engagement among students.

As part of its ongoing support for environmental dialogue and efforts to raise awareness about the importance of nature conservation, the Hanns Seidel Foundation - Amman Office in cooperation with The Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature (RSCN) and the National Mithaq Party, organized a dialogue session over two days at the Dana Biosphere Reserve.
