What's happening at HSS?

The Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature (RSCN) in partnership with the Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSS) held a dialouge meeting in Dana Reserve (25.-27.02.2024) and in Mujib Reserve (05.-06.03.2024), aiming to foster collaboration between district governors and conservation organizations in Jordan. The event brought together 16 participants in each meeting to discuss various aspects of biodiversity conservation and environmental law enforcement.

On the occasion of the International Music Day on June 21, the International Center for Human Sciences (CISH), in partnership with the Hanns Seidel Foundation, and in collaboration with the Center for the Lebanese Heritage of the Lebanese American University (LAU), organized a round-table event on poetry, Zajal, and music. The event, held on June 16th, 2023 at the CISH premises in Byblos, showcased the power of music and poetry in promoting peace-building and intercultural understanding.

WADA, in cooperation with the Hanns Seidel Foundation, hosted a training workshop titled "Benefits of Biodiversity for Agro-Business and Agro-Tourism" at the WADA Center in Deir El Ahmar, Lebanon. The goal of this training was to increase participants' understanding of the importance of biodiversity in agro-business and agro-tourism, as well as to encourage the conservation and protection of natural resources.

Under the patronage of His Excellency Eng. Nayef Bakhit president of Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority and in the presence of the Deputy Chief Commissioner Eng.Hamzeh AlHajj Hassan, the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority & the Arab World Center for Democratic Development and Human Rights in partnership with the Hanns Seidel Foundation – Amman, organized a workshop on “Good Governance in Public Administration” in Aqaba.

Under the patronage of H.E. Ahmed Al-Safadi ''First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives'', the Ministry of Political and Parliamentary Affairs and the Arab World Center For Democratic Development and Human rights (UniHrd) in cooperation with the Hanns Seidel Foundation conducted a dialogue session within the “Yes She Can” project with the participation of elite media and activists from different governorates of Jordan.

The Ministry of Political and Parliamentary Affairs, in partnership with the Arab World Center for Democratic Development and Human Rights and in partnership with the German Hanns Seidel Foundation, held a workshop in the city of Irbid entitled "The New Parties’ Law" with the participation of individuals from different governorates.

Under the auspices of the Ministry of Political and Parliamentary Affairs, the Arab World Center for Democratic Development and Human Rights, in partnership with the German Hanns Seidel Foundation, launched the first phase of the “Yes She Can” project from Karak, which targets the governorates of Al-Karak, At-Tafila and Ma'an.
